Say "Hello" to Awkward. {My Attempt at Vlogging}

So....I decided to step outside of my comfort zone blog and start vlogging! I'm really crazy excited about this new adventure! Please follow along with me via YouTube by subscribing to my channel!
I plan on posting regularly once I graduate so, it might be a couple of weeks before I have any new videos. :)

And don't worry, I'm not disappearing from this blog. I'm just adding to it! :)

140 Characters {My Mini Blog Posts}

I've realized I tweet more than anything else. Seriously, I'm always on Twitter tweeting about something that has happened in my life. For you non-twitter people, think of these as "mini" blog posts.

Without further ado, here are my tweets from this past week...

Last Friday night did not involve me maxing out my credit cards or taking too many shots but, evaluating the boy/girl ratios of my friend groups....

One of my Teenpact friends got engaged which means we're officially old. But seriously, she has a good man.

The shadow of Graduation is here...

The passing of a wonderful lady prompted this tweet...

I wonder if Margaret Thatcher had an iPhone...

Procrastination to the last second...

 Babysitting Adventure #492013

Because meetings is where you discuss these sort of things...

And this was my all time low people...

 Thankfully, I have this truth to hold on too...

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

Recommending Reading {From the Interwebs}

Normally, I would curl up in my chair with a cup of coffee and read the latest and greatest non-fiction book. But, that was 2003. Now, I'm curling up on the couch–amidst the activity of the busyness four people can produce at one time–reading the latest and greatest one page article on the Internet. {Mind you, it's still non-fiction.}

Here are four articles and one video I recommend reading for a little Saturday afternoon enjoyment. Er...maybe some conviction mixed in, too.

  • Ann Voskamp and her Magical writing.
"Because the thing is — you can read as many self-help books as you want, a daily diet of bulleted how-tos… but the only way to mend a heart is to memorize God’s.

The only way to really breathe is to inhale Truth.

There is always a way back.

There is always now.

Memorization isn’t for the saints who have made it. It’s for the sinners who want to make it."

  • Alyssa Bethke and her Open heart.
"Although it had started off as wanting to be beautiful, I had bought into the lie that beauty=skinny, the root really became that I wanted to be in control."

{I haven't read all the articles in the series but, that doesn't mean they're not good!}

  • Relevant Magazine being Relevant.
"The Internet is partial truths—we get to decide what people see and what they don’t. That’s why it’s safer short term. And that’s why it’s much, much more dangerous long term."

  • Wise Words to the Ladies from Hannah Brencher

"So yea, I’ll drive the point home: gossip is shallow and stupid. Hobbies are better. Social good is best."

"Leggings, no matter how much we wish, will never one day magically transform into pants. Wearing them with tops that don’t cover your bum is not cute. Please, please, please stock up on pants."

{Note: I have not checked out the rest of her blog
nor have I clicked through some of the links in the post.}

  • Messy Mondays
"We have to get over this mindset that we can't change people."

I'm Offended by "Being Offended. {Video}

I hope y'all have a restful weekend!
