In Honor of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

Battle Cry
Help us, help us, help us, they cry
But deaf are we to their plea
Save us, save us, save us, they sigh
Yet we live in ignorance do we
Why us, why us, why us, they boom
With cardboard signs and big, black letters tell them
The carriers have a right to chose your doom
Numb have we become to the desperate whims
Accepted have we the fact that they are not humanity
Tis not our choice but rather His selection
To the people who are in harmony
and not with holding affection
Let us fight with our voices, life
Not cause with our hands, strife

Practice What You Pin.

Guess what??

I actually cooked some of the recipes I pinned on Pinterest!!

Amazing isn't it? I mean, after all we spend hours upon hours pinning all this great food, shouldn't we try and cook it sometime?

Yeah, I thought so. :)

I tried about 5 different recipes over Christmas Break and loved everyone of them! (See, Mom, it was a good brilliant idea for your daughter to sign up for Pinterest! She's even cooking now! :) )*

I thought I would start by sharing my FAVORITE dish that I have personally cooked! :)

Now, I'm not a big Greek Fan, I rather have Mexican or Italian anytime of the day! But, this recipe caught my eye and I decided to give it a try.

The blend of the all the flavors = Why didn't I cook this sooner!?!?!?

4 and half stars. And only because the preparation was a little tedious. At least for a beginner cook like me! :)

The next recipe is SO easy, a caveman could do it! ;) Seriously. I'm not kidding.

Cheesy Bacon Biscuit Pull Aparts
1 Can of Biscuits - I used Pills*bury Simply Biscuits
Your choice of cheese - I used mozzarella, cheddar, and colby.
Real Bacon bits

Bake at 350 for 25-28 minutes in a cast iron skillet.

See, I told you it was easy! ;)

I'll write about the desserts I made in a separate post. As for right now, I'm off to the land of dreams.

* for those who don't know me that well,
I don't like to cook.
But, Pinterest is slowly changing my mind.

Friday the 13th

My little brother turns 15 today.  And I feel O-L-D.

Where did the time go?

I *might* start crying.

No, I'll save it for his wedding day. If When he gets married.  ;)

7:30 am - January 13th, 1997.

Jason entered the world. (Little did I know that my world would be forever rocked!)

So, in honor of his birthday, I thought I would use 15 different words to describe my brother.

Are you ready?

(look, I'll even number them for you! :) )

  1. Consumer (of food) (and bacon)
  2. Sweet
  3. Caring
  4. Lovable
  5. Giver
  6. Adventurous ( I would like to point out that he has NEVER had to have stitches. And he's done some crazy stuff! =0)
  7. Tall
  8. Cute
  9. Charming
  10. Quick Witted
  11. Talented
  12. Musician
  13. Quick Learner
  14. Handsome
  15. Firefighter (that's his new role)
Yeah, that pretty much sums up my brother. :)

Current picture......

Isn't he a cutie? ;)
Watch it girls, he has a protective big sister here. :)

Honestly, I do not know where I would be in this life without little my brother. Jason has taught me SO many things! (and still is!) And yes, we still fight and have our understood disagreements. But, that doesn't change the fact that I love him and will continue to! I wouldn't trade him for a sister any day! :)

Thanks Jason for being such a wonderful brother!

Here's to the next 15 years of your life.

*Note: I don't have very many pictures
of my brother
because he refuses to pose
for me.
